A couple months ago I set out to create a time lapse of local Long Beach artist Copeland Holt aka: Van Bro painting a mural. So over the course of 5 days I set up and shot a total of ~9500 frames, from high-noon into the evening, and breaks in between. I had never done a sequence this long with this much variation of the lighting, needless to say after compiling the sequence I learned A LOT. There are a few abrupt noticeable shifts in white-balance, and exposure, I tried to smooth them out the best I could. Like I said, I learned a lot.
Just a quick shot I took walking down 4th Street today.
This past Friday I got to photograph a fundraising event for the Long Beach Fire Fighter's Museum. It was a great night filled with the rich history of the Long Beach Fire Department.
Located at 1465 Peterson Ave. Long Beach, CA 90813, I would urge everyone who lives here in Long Beach to go visit the museum, it is free to enter and there is free parking. They have a large collection of artifacts, and fire vehicles that are all operational, there is a steam pump that is also operational. They love visitors and love to share their many stories, believe it or not there was once a cat that lived in one of the fire stations that had learned how to slide down the pole! So please, take the family down to the museum, it is hidden jewel here in our beloved city of Long Beach, CA
